i think i feel something going on in there!

I think I felt a little bit of movement last night! Not a lot, but it was definitely something.

I have read from so many people that it feels like butterflies, bubbles or a fish in a bag of water and that is what I was waiting for. Last night while I was laying on my left side, I felt a twitching deep in my pelvis. Have you ever had a muscle spasm or twitch in your arm or leg? That's what it felt like, but a little different. It lasted on and off for about 3 minutes. I was so excited! I stayed awake and still for about an hour willing it to happen again, but it didn't.

I woke up this morning wondering if it was just a spasm. Maybe I didn't feel movement. The thought bummed me out so I googled. Apparently it can feel like that! Then I texted my bestie. She confirmed she felt that too at one point! This made me really happy!

As I type this I feel it again! A little twitching that moves a bit. It is so amazing!!! I can't wait for more and the day the Hubby can feel it too. I just got a little upset when I told him I feel it again. I told him I feel like he is missing out on so much. I wish he could feel everything. He said it shouldn't be too long before he can and he will experience it through me till then.

So, when did you first feel movement and what did it feel like? Did it ever feel like twitching or a muscle spasm?

  2. The first movements are GREAT! And it is getting better! To me, a lot of them felt like muscle spasms, and even now, at 36 weeks, when I have a short spasm in a leg, for example, I always think that it feels like my wiggly daughter when she was little or when she is only doing little moves.

I can totally relate to you whish to share the feeling with the hubby. My boyfriend caught the first movements of his daughter 2 weeks after I first felt them.

    1. I can't wait till my Hubby can feel them! I hear that I won't feel them much later on because there will be no room with twins so I want to feel them as much as possible! I hope soon!

  4. I was around 16 weeks when I first felt movement that I KNEW was baby. I'd felt a few spasms before but wasn't sure if it was baby or not. How exciting!

  5. Woohoo! I didn't feel movements until around 18 weeks. My tummy area was totally empty of movement (no gas or anything) until them. Enjoy these movements. They are a benefit of carrying the baby, your hubby will get to feel them soon enough. :)

  6. Yay for movement! Doubt you'll feel a lot of movement late in pregnancy as from what I understand twins don't have as much space as one to stretch. You'll feel the kicks but probably not much in the way of them rotating.

  7. I had a few similar twinges between 14-16 weeks but knew for sure when I was 17 weeks. Now, at 20, I feel her all the time!!! It's amazing and still makes me tear up sometimes. I wouldn't be surprised if you are feeling movements earlier since you have two in there! Yayyyy! Enjoy it:)

    1. I am feeling it, but not much so hopefully in the next couple weeks it picks up! I haven't teared up yet, but every time I feel it my Hubby laughs at my faces. I look shocked and excited and my eyes get wide.

  8. I felt twitches like that, too :) Soon after I felt bigger wiggles but only really when I put pressure on my belly (like sleeping on my belly). Some movements I thought I was feeling turned out to actually be gas, because your intestines move around to make room for babies the gas bubble feelings start coming from different places than you expect. Once I started feeling them move for real, it was unmistakeable!

    1. I felt the twitches mostly at night when I'm laying on my side, almost on my belly. I have had gas movement a lot and it's unmistakable. They are definitely moving a lot in there, they just need to get bigger!
